Lieutenant
Colonel Frank F. Johnson's military career started as a Private First
Class, paratrooper, in Company F, 505, Parachute Infantry, 82d Airborne
Division. Before his retirement he served in Korea, Japan, Germany and
Viet Nam. He holds the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Army Commendation
Medal and numerous service ribbons and awards. At one time he taught
military history. More recently, he retired as a university professor
where he published numerous professional works.
He and his wife
reside in Florida where he enjoys reading, cats and high power
marksmanship. He is a Wagnerian devotee, whose music is frequently heard
in the gardens of their home. Their travels often include trips to the
